Porterville College launched its new official athletics website, portervillepirates.com, in partnership with developer and host Presto Sports.
The new site is the first of its kind in the Central Valley Conference, a nine-member affiliate of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).
“We are proud to offer an interactive website that matches new technology with the rich tradition of Porterville College athletics,” said PC athletic director Eric Mendoza.
“Our student-athletes, coaches, campus and community members deserve a platform to showcase our wonderful programs. Presto Sports has created a customized website to meet the needs of our small college, with all of the great features being used by major universities.”
The new website offers access to PC game schedules, results, rosters, news, and social media links, including Twitter and Facebook.
In addition to being user-friendly for mobile devices, the website has the capability to host live in-game scoring and video broadcasting.
Results and schedule changes posted on the CCCAA website will also instantly post on the PC athletic website, since both are Presto partners.
"PrestoSports is excited to be working with Porterville College on the new home for Pirate Athletics! As the first Central Valley Conference member to partner with PrestoSports, Porterville has been integral to the expanding relationship between both parties,” says Ted Bardach, Vice President of Business Development for PrestoSports.
“After working with Eric and his staff throughout the summer on the new Portervillepirates.com, we are excited to see an all-inclusive platform that allows fans, parents, alumni and coaches to stay up-to-date on Pirate athletics. Porterville is committed to providing an innovative mobile and web presence for athletics, and PrestoSports is proud to play a part in that initiative.”
