Porterville College Welcomes Coach Holly Franks

We're excited to introduce the new Head Coach of PC Volleyball, Coach Holly Franks!

Coach Holly Franks is a valley native born and raised in the foothills of Fresno. Coach Franks graduated from Sierra High School and went on to play volleyball at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After attending Cal Poly for four years, she transferred to Fresno State where she played her last season of collegiate volleyball. Once Coach Franks graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, she decided to pursue a professional career overseas. She played for the professional team Svedala VBK in Svedala, Sweden where she played this past year.

After returning to the states this past spring, Coach Franks decided to shift her career goals to the coaching aspect of the game. Although she has coached many teams, Coach Franks has a unique vision that she wants to apply to the Porterville College program. She has been coaching at the high school level and club teams for the past six years and has a lot of knowledge to bring to the program.

She is excited to help her student athletes achieve their athletic and academic goals and watch them grow and succeed as individuals. Her high expectations for her athletes and the program will undoubtedly lead to a successful season and for seasons to come. We can definitely expect great things from Porterville College Volleyball Program.
