Pirates wrap up season at Central Valley Conference Championships

FRESNO – The Porterville College men's and women's cross country teams closed out the season at Fresno's Woodward Park with solid finishes at the 2025 Central Valley Conference Championships.

The Porterville women had two runners in action with sophomore Lizbeth Ramirez Ramos finishing in 17^th place. She closed out the 5,000-meters course with a time of 22:26.25. Freshman Danika De La Cruz wasn't far behind in 20^th place, clocking in at 23:16.86.

For the PC men, freshman Alexis Ibarra Estrella led the way with his 32^nd-place finish. He cleared the four-mile course with his time of 26:53.92. Freshman Ignacio Cuevas Alcantar was up next in 35^th place (30:03.84), followed by sophomore Messiah Jimenez in 38^th (31:42.02).

The Pirates were led by first-year head coach Bret Davis.
